As time went by, three years passed as a freelancer, and I used Hexo for all three years. To be honest, Hexo is good, but my needs changed. My website was no longer just a simple blog; I needed a marketplace that could showcase my skills, serve as an entry point for selling services on my independent website, and function as a personal blog, all while supporting multiple languages. So, I went back to WordPress.
Some features of WordPress impressed me, including:
- Use a block editor to manage pages and articles
- Numerous free theme-fitting block editors
- A brand new experience
Previously, I had a custom-built Markdown editor that I planned to install and test. However, Markdown isn’t essential for me. If a perfect, high-quality editing experience is possible, I’d actually prefer it without the Markdown rendering process. Therefore, I won’t use Markdown frequently. Anyway, a new beginning, looking forward to new progress! Have a great day!
